Forecast data
Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD)
Based on data from Deutscher Wetterdienst, gridded data reproduced graphically.
Modified: ICON is resampled from its own grid onto a regular 0.125° latitude and longitude grid; ICON-EU's longitudes are re-referenced, its points unmoved. Geopotential, in both models, is converted to geopotential height by dividing by standard gravity (9.80665 m/s²). Drawn in this site's own colours and in the units the viewer chooses. Each value is rounded to a fixed storage step per quantity; wind speed and direction are derived from the wind's components; zoomed-out views show a subsample of the grid points.

Modified: Rows are reordered from north first to south first; IFS total precipitation is converted from metres to millimetres and IFS cloud cover from a fraction to percent. Drawn in this site's own colours and in the units the viewer chooses. Each value is rounded to a fixed storage step per quantity; wind speed and direction are derived from the wind's components; zoomed-out views show a subsample of the grid points.
